Usmanov’s firm puts up 52% of Russia’s MegaFon shares as collateral

MOSCOW, Dec 9 (PRIME) -- AF Telecom Holding, a unit of USM Holdings Ltd. of Russian tycoon Alisher Usmanov, has put up 52% minus one share of mobile operator MegaFon as collateral to Sberbank, according to information released Wednesday in the single federal register of facts about companies’ activities.

The bank received 322,399,999 shares.

USM Group owns 56.32% in MegaFon’s capital. The operator’s shares closed at 915 rubles on the Moscow Exchange on Tuesday.
